HOW DO OUR DOG TRAINING METHODS IN SACRAMENTO DIFFER
Dog training through Perception modification is something that Wholistic Canine specializes in. Perception modification is the process of changing an animal’s view of the world, and helps them feel more in charge of how the world engages with them. There are many different behavior modification/ perception modification techniques, and the one that is used will depend on the dog’s & owner’s individual needs.
For example, if a dog is afraid of people, a perception modification technique may be used. We would use classical conditioning to build a communication system with your dog. Once those words are understood, we practice with them around very basic commands before we use them on things that put your dog over its threshold. (Threshold is that invisible line that makes the chemical change in your dog’s body and causes him to take action, typically one we don’t like.)
